NEBS DELUXEPINPOINT™
— celebrates over 30 years helping Canadian businesses succeed.
Midland, Ontario – NEBS Business Products Limited began operations in July 1976 starting with a staff of three.
Today over 30 years later and over 400 employees strong, NEBS has grown to become a market leader specializing in
personalized designed and branded short-run products and services for over 200,000 Canadian businesses.
"From its early beginnings, NEBS has enjoyed steady growth through its relentless pursuit of satisfying its customers
with relevant, innovative products coupled with unsurpassed levels of service," says Pierre Barrette, Vice President, Sales & Marketing of NEBS
DELUXEPINPOINT Canada.
In 1998, NEBS made its first significant acquisition. NEBS purchased McBee, a competitor in the cheque and forms business
who had a strong presence in Quebec and a significant national sales force.
Five years later in 2003, NEBS acquired PAYweb, an online payroll services company located in Cambridge Ontario. This
acquisition was a perfect fit with NEBS. Having an affordable, easy-to-use online payroll system would be a great benefit
to NEBS customers.
Also in 2003, Safeguard Business Systems Inc.® was purchased. Safeguard markets hundreds of items to small business
customers including printed products, promotional items and corporate apparel. These products are delivered through a
network of 48 local independent distributors. "This personal service ensures that our customers have access to the product
expertise and personal service they need to run a successful business," says Kevin Ellis Safeguard National Sales Manager.
In May of 2004, Deluxe Corporation acquired NEBS. Deluxe, the largest cheque printer in North America, felt NEBS to be a good
strategic fit as both companies are focused on helping small businesses manage, promote and grow their business. With the
addition of NEBS, Deluxe strengthened its position as a premier solution provider to businesses in North America.
In Sept 2005, NEBS purchased Dots & Pixels — one of the first companies in Canada dedicated to emerging "Digital
Colour Printing" and recognized as a leader in offering intelligent digital marketing communications and web-to-print
solutions to a growing number of progressive corporations.
In February 2007, NEBS announced the acquisition of a well respected printer in the GTA of Ontario who has been offering customized business form printing for more than 20 years.
Through a unique marketing program, NEBS provides sales tools to printers under the DFS (Dealer Form Sales) program. Printers across Canada have access to private labeled, web-based ordering solutions to promote cheques, forms and promotional printing to their customer base.
NEBS continues to evolve and today is one of Canada's premier suppliers of unique and innovative branding and design
solutions. As NEBS celebrates over 30 years in Canada, it remains true to its core values of sharing its knowledge and expertise
to help Canadian businesses succeed.
